Concrete Cube Testing is a crucial quality control measure to determine the compressive strength of concrete. This test ensures that the concrete meets the design strength requirements for structural stability and durability in construction projects. The test follows standards such as IS 516, ASTM C39, BS EN 12390-3, and ACI 318.
Scope of Concrete Cube Testing Services 1. Sample Preparation & Curing✅ Cube Size: Standard sizes (150mm × 150mm × 150mm) or (100mm × 100mm × 100mm)
✅ Molding & Compaction: Proper filling and vibration to remove air pockets
✅ Curing Process: Curing in water at 27°C ± 2°C for 7, 14, or 28 days
✅ Tested using a Compression Testing Machine (CTM)
✅ Applied Load Rate: 140 kg/cm² per minute until failure
✅ Strength Evaluation:
7-Day Strength: Early strength development
14-Day Strength: Intermediate assessment
28-Day Strength: Final acceptance test
✅ Rebound Hammer Test: Estimates strength based on surface hardness
✅ Ultrasonic Pulse Velocity (UPV) Test: Assesses internal defects in cubes
✅ Compressive Strength (MPa or N/mm²):
M20 Concrete: ≥ 20 MPa
M25 Concrete: ≥ 25 MPa
M30 Concrete: ≥ 30 MPa
✅ Acceptance: Average of three cubes should meet or exceed the specified grade
✔ Ensures structural integrity and durability
✔ Verifies mix design and quality control
✔ Prevents failures and ensures compliance with codes
✔ Essential for construction approvals and certifications
